President Tinubu UK visit:

Sam Amadi, former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has praised Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for her dignified style and composed public demeanor, while acknowledging that other aspects of her public record remain subject to debate. In a post shared on X on Thursday, Amadi noted that the First Lady has consistently demonstrated elegance and poise in her appearance since assuming office. However, he also referenced her controversial remarks during the 2023 election period, describing them as a “blemish” on an otherwise commendable public presence. “The thing I appreciate about the First Lady is her dignified style and presentation. Other matters are open to discussion, but her poise and public conduct since taking office have been admirable,” he wrote. “That said, the issue of hate speech during the 2023 election remains a concern. Aside from that, she has performed well.” Amadi’s comments come amid President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing official visit to the United Kingdom, which government officials say is focused on strengthening bilateral relations and attracting foreign investment. The presidency stated that the trip forms part of broader efforts to reposition Nigeria’s economy through strategic international partnerships.
