An Instagram influencer is facing severe legal and financial repercussions after documenting herself smoking inside an airplane lavatory mid-flight, leading to an official ban and a lawsuit from the airline.

Vera Dijkmans, a social media content creator known for her large online following, reportedly triggered the incident during a flight bound for Mumbai, India. According to posts shared on her own social media accounts, Dijkmans entered the aircraft lavatory to smoke a cigarette during the flight, even publishing a mirror selfie featuring a lit cigarette.

Upon arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, local law enforcement authorities detained Dijkmans for questioning.
