Bashir El-Rufai has renewed his public feud with his elder brother, House of Representatives member Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, through a series of sharp attacks on X. Taking aim at his brother's political trajectory in Kaduna State, Bashir leveled accusations of drug abuse and issued a stark warning that he intends to destroy him.

The public outbursts have drawn concern from various figures on social media. Politician Uche Rochas intervened in the comment thread to urge caution, warning that tearing down a sibling ultimately tarnishes the family’s legacy and leaves the aggressor without a moral victory. Another user, Dr. Ibrahim Yaji, criticized Bashir for turning against his own blood, stating that such actions cross a line regardless of the circumstances.
