The Governor attended the closed-door session at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, as part of the mandatory clearance process for sitting governors seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Upon exiting the venue, Governor Fubara was approached by a press corps seeking insights into the screening exercise and his political standing. However, the Governor declined to engage in a formal interview, providing only a brief "no comment" before departing the premises.
