Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation following an incident at the national team training camp.
According to reports from the UK Mirror, the 41-year-old forward left the camp early after a disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus. Under federation regulations, this action automatically triggers an initial suspension while the situation is reviewed.
A disciplinary council is set to convene to determine the final duration of the ban, which could range anywhere from one to six months.
While Ronaldo has issued a public apology for the incident, he acknowledged that disciplinary action is warranted given the circumstances. Further announcements regarding the length of the suspension are expected once the council meets.
