Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced a temporary halt to military strikes against Iran, while simultaneously issuing a strong warning that any further aggression will be met with a forceful response. This statement followed an announcement from Iranian officials declaring an end to their recent missile strikes against Israel, leading Netanyahu to state that the immediate conflict has been contained.

Despite the current pause, tensions remain high as both nations have pledged to retaliate if hostilities resume. Additionally, Iran has threatened severe consequences if Israeli military operations continue in southern Lebanon.

The suspension of attacks aligns with recent appeals from US President Donald Trump, who urged both nations to cease military actions. While some analysts suggest that Israel's military response indicated a defiance of US preferences, diplomatic reports indicate that Israel's actions did not directly contradict the administration's stance. The brief escalation began after Israel launched retaliatory airstrikes in western and central Iran following an Iranian missile barrage.
