Police operatives in Oyo State have reportedly arrested the father of Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi, a suspect currently facing criminal charges for alleged forgery and impersonation.

According to local residents, the operation took place on Monday at the family's residence in Ogbomoso. Officers arriving in multiple vehicles took Adeniyi’s father into custody, along with another individual who was visiting the property at the time. The sudden deployment caused significant concern among family members, including the suspect's elderly mother, and drew a crowd of local onlookers.

Security personnel briefly remained stationed in the area after the two men were driven away.

The arrest is linked to the ongoing legal proceedings against Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi, who is on trial for offenses connected to unauthorized claims involving the purported Presidential Fiscal and Infrastructure Projects Council.

The Oyo State Police Command has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident or the specific grounds for the latest detentions. The primary case remains pending in court.
