ADC Relocates National Convention to Garki Following Venue Access Issues

ABUJA:  The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially announced a change of venue for its National Convention, now scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

In a statement released via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, the party confirmed that the convention will now be held at the Rainbow Event Center, located at Plot 1193A, Off Southern Parkway, Area 8, Garki, Abuja.

To assist delegates and attendees, the party provided specific landmarks for the new site:

Address: Plot 1193A, Off Southern Parkway, Garki Area 8.

Landmarks: Situated behind the FCDA/AGIS Building and in close proximity to the NTA Headquarters in Area 11.

Background on Venue Change

The relocation follows reports that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) administration allegedly denied the party access to its initial choices—the Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

Despite the late change in logistics, party leadership appears to be moving forward with the Tuesday schedule to ensure the convention proceeds as planned. No official reason for the denial of the public facilities has been publicly confirmed by FCT authorities at this time.
