The former Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, Comrade Saidu Bello Said, has expressed confidence that Nigerians will vote against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election.

In an interview with DAILY POST, Said attributed his prediction to what he described as growing public dissatisfaction with governance. He argued that citizens are becoming increasingly aware of the country’s challenges and would reflect this sentiment at the polls.

According to him, Nigerians are unlikely to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming election. “Nigerians will never vote for Tinubu in the coming election. They are tired. Democracy is not being respected,” he said.

Said further projected an early defeat for the APC, stating that the outcome could become evident within the first few hours of voting. He also made strong remarks about voter sentiment in northern Nigeria.

Addressing internal party matters, Said noted that the ADC in Kano State is undergoing a period of restructuring following recent political realignments, including the defection of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He expressed confidence that the party would be better positioned ahead of the 2027 general elections, stating that efforts are underway to strengthen its internal structure.

On economic issues, Said criticised current government policies, particularly the rise in fuel prices, questioning the rationale behind the increase. He also raised concerns about the management of national revenue, referencing global oil price changes and their implications for Nigeria’s budget.

He concluded by urging Nigerians to view the 2027 elections as an opportunity to bring about change, encouraging citizens to actively participate in shaping the country’s future through the democratic process.
