Following a political street rally held by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Isokun area of Ilesa, Osun State, a shooting incident occurred that resulted in three injuries, including a 14-year-old boy named Tobi Ilesanmi. Police Intervention and Arrests
The Osun State Police Command reported that the shooting took place during the APC rally after a vehicle with official Osun State Government plates was spotted. According to police statements, individuals identified as Amotekun Corps personnel emerged from the vehicle and fired shots, causing widespread panic.
Intelligence Response Team (IRT) operatives responding to the disturbance intercepted a white Lexus 350. Inside the vehicle, officers found an Amotekun operative alongside the Osun State Commissioner for Environment, Mayowa Adejoorin. Both individuals, along with the vehicle, were taken to the police headquarters in Osogbo for questioning. Investigators recovered four expended cartridges and a pump-action gun from the scene.
