Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing the Osun East Senatorial District, reported to the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo on Wednesday afternoon for questioning regarding alleged inciting remarks.
Arriving at approximately 2:35 p.m., the senator was accompanied by Samuel Erale, the Commissioner of Police responsible for election security. The police summons followed allegations that the senator made inflammatory statements directed at members of the Accord Party in Ilesa.
Authorities previously cautioned political stakeholders against rhetoric that could elevate tensions ahead of the scheduled Saturday governorship election.
